Happy Birthday, Son from Mom and Dad. We are so thankful to Adeline for giving us the chance to tell you and all your friends how special you are to us. This way to communicate fits so well into the work you do with the internet. What a difference from a generation ago when we were in Japan and Sheril wrote letters to the parents back home. We managed one telephone call to Alabama in three years and that was a three way call to announce the birth of your older sister Kay.Your birth 40 years ago was a delight to us. We didn't know the sex of babies in that age and after two darling daughters, a son was a special gift from God. Growing up in Huntsville was a team effort with your mother leading the team. I firmly believe that since she was able to mold you kids on a daily basis without having to work outside the home contributed immensely to you and your sisters well being. Mom was a constant encouragement and trainer to all of you. You especially needed encouragement in your early school years when you had problems in school paying attention to any one thing long enough. She got you through that and prepared you for the rest of your education. Dr. Townsley will be a real honor when you get through your current University plans.
With your marriage to Adeline and the birth of precious Léna, you have started your own family and it is so pleasing to see how you interact with Adeline and Léna. Being a father and the head of a family is an awsome responsibility and one I know you will manage well due in part to your own upbringing. We have made a lot of mistakes, but I hope you see them and manage to not make them in your own family life. We have also done a few good things and I hope you recognize them and emulate them in your family.
We hope that you and Adeline are able to have a son to carry on the Townsley name. There is a spot waiting in my Family Tree Program for the rest of your children. There is also a spot in the USA for you and your family if you ever decide to give that consideration.
We appreciate so much the time you have taken to visit Huntsville to see and let us see the family interaction between brothers, sisters, cousins, mothers, fathers, children, grandchildren, grandmoms and granddads. Please don't ever get too busy to give that up. It is so important, especially when you are an ocean and a long plane ride away. We enjoy every visit
We wish we could be there in person for your birthday celebration. You have a great time and appreciate what your wife has arranged for you. You are fortunant to have so many friends from around the world to celebrate with you via this blog. Enjoy!!!! We Love you.
